Examples on the screens
These are original examples with made-up senders and businesses. Yellow words show; the text after [cut] is hidden in that view.
How we measure: each screen is drawn at its real size (the phone layout is 390 by 844 points; Gmail on a laptop is a 1280-pixel-wide window), and the tool counts how many characters fit before the text is cut off. Reference counts were measured in Chromium on macOS with Apple’s system font and the bundled Roboto font on 19 October 2026. These are drawn-screen measurements, not tests on real phones. Your fonts, phone model and text size settings can move the cut. Live readouts use the fonts in your browser.
Newsletter mockup
The subject names the product. The preview adds the stock update. Check whether both details are visible in the inbox and on the lock screen. This newsletter mockup shows its words; it does not render an HTML newsletter.

How to make an email mockup
- Enter your sender name, subject and email text. Add preview text if your email has it.
- Choose a phone or laptop view. On a phone, follow the email from the lock screen to the inbox, then open it.
- Download the screen as a PNG, or copy a link for someone else to view.
The mockup updates as you type. You can use it without an account.
Gmail mockups on phone and computer
The Gmail inbox view shows your email among other example messages. Open it to see the message itself.
Switch between the phone and laptop views before you save an image. In the laptop inbox, the subject and preview text share a line. A longer subject leaves less room for the preview text.
Download and share your mockup
Download the selected screen as a PNG for a presentation or draft review. The image includes a small emailpreviewtool.com credit and is made in your browser.
A share link opens a read-only preview. The email is carried after the # in the link, which the browser does not send to our server. Anyone with the full link can read the email. Choose who you share it with.
What the mockup can show
These drawn screens help you check your wording and present a draft. They show the Gmail inbox and opened email, plus iPhone and Android email notifications.
They are not screenshots from a real email app. They cannot confirm HTML rendering, inbox delivery or how an AI summary will describe your message. Fonts, phone models and text size settings can change where words are cut off.
